I hire my kiln and workbench to enable you to make your own projects. Providing you have had training in warm glass and know what you are wanting to make, you can use the space and fire your work. I will be around just in case! Just bring your materials, and any specific tools you may require. I do have tools available for my classes that you will be able to use.
Kilncare FK7 – 1000 x 1000mm approx internal – £45 per firing plus £20 for fibre and thin fire paper. Or you can bring your own.
Paragon 14 Clam – 300 x 300mm kiln shelf – £20 per firing plus £3 for fibre and thin fire paper. Or you can bring your own.
I have a small number of kiln shelves and moulds available for you to use, for further information please contact me.
You can hire workbench space so you can create your work for £4 per hour per person. (upto 6 people at a time)
I have some equipment that you will be able to use that is available to my class students, but you may prefer to bring your own equipment with you.
Workbench hire doesn’t include tuition – if you require assistance with your work I charge £25 per hour – which will be charged per 15 minutes. If you would like to learn specific process please contact me for a lesson and I can give you a price.
Terms and Conditions
I will enter the hirer’s firing schedule into the programmer for the kiln if required, but will not provide the programmes for the your work other than at your own risk. I recommend a test firing prior to firing a final piece.
In the event of any damage to the kiln or kiln furniture caused by the hirer’s use, you will be held responsible and will be charged for the repair or replacement. I cannot be held responsible for any incorrect or unsuccessful firings, whatever the cause.
Loading and unloading of kilns must be undertaken by the hirer, it is expected the work to be collected in a timely manor. It is assumed that the you have a sufficient understanding of the processes prior to hiring and using the equipment requested.
